Where to Shop and What to Buy in Pune

M.G Road is the best shopping destination in this city. Other than that there are malls and stores in areas like Laxmi Road, Fashion Street, Hong Kong Lane, Juna Bazaar (great for antiques), along with more known retail outlets like Vishal Mega Mart and Big Bazaar.

Men’s Avenue, logically enough, is where you can get the best men’s wear. Along with that there are places like the Fabindia retailers and Kakde Mall which is also popular. Nearly all the malls operate from 10:00 to 22:00.

Aditya Shagun Mall

The Aditya Shagun Mall was the first in Pune. With three floors of shops and an advantageous location near Deccan, it’s one of the better malls in town.

City Mall

This Central Pune mall contains enough shops to keep any shopaholic busy for a while and the food outlets ensure that one does not go hungry.

This is a store is the place that you should go to if you want to buy Indian clothes. There are great kurtas for men and also other rural-themed garments.

Laxmi Road

Considered one of the heartlands of shopping in Pune, Laxmi Road is popular as an area for street shopping. There are many varieties items available in this area; among them clothing, jewelry, bangles and also household necessities. It’s not high-end so go prepared.

Nucleus Mall has a good variety of shops and ample parking space with two-level parking. In terms of shops Nucleus Mall offers a wide collection of brands and products to choose from. It might not be the best but certainly far from the least.

The Pune Central Mall is located in the heart of the city and is a good place to shop as well as a good place to chill out with friends and family. With five floors of stores selling casual wear to sportswear and featuring dining locations, this place has it all.

Pune IT Mall

Pune IT Mall specializes in selling electronic products such as laptops, printers, television sets, software, projectors and more. The wide range of different brands and broad choices ensure that anyone looking to buy electronics will find what they are looking for.

Sassoon Road.

Chor Bazaar (Thieves’ Market) is the best place for cheaper-than-cheap shopping. Really easy to find, this is a place where you can get anything that you’re looking for at prices that are really a steal; don’t expect top quality, though. Closed on Saturdays.

Tulsi Baug

This well-known shopping area with middle-range prices merits a visit, if only because of its popularity among the locals.

Wonder Funkey Mall

Wonder Funkey Mall presents a unique experience to the shopper in the sense that it aims to integrate the shopping experience with a blend of entertainment. Essentially a family entertainment mall, it contains shops, cafeterias, game zones, music and much more.
